Mail Online reports that the two stars followed in the footsteps of fellow actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter who revealed they were engaged through a newspaper announcement. Kit and Rose are believed to have dated off and on since 2012, when they met on the sets of Game of Thrones, where he plays Jon Snow, and she played the wildling Ygritte. Their onscreen romance seemed to have spilled over into real life as well. The actors confirmed that they are living together, in mid-2016. Twitterati went into meltdown as soon as the news of Kit and Rose’s engagement broke on the microblogging site.
