Game of Thrones season seven new trailer: Impending battles, deaths and dragons
The new trailer of Game of Thrones Season 7 is out and is definitely take one's breath away — battles, fire-breathing dragons, white walkers and much more.
The new trailer of the upcoming seventh season of the TV spectacle, Game of Thrones, is out. The makers of the insanely popular show took to their Facebook account to unveil the trailer on 21 June.
The trailer is superbly fast paced and is a hodgepodge of storylines, characters, episodes that are about to make the upcoming season another visual extravaganza.
The two-minute long sneak peek of the show starts with Sansa Stark walking by the godswood at Winterfell while in the background a piano plays with Peter Baelish addressing, "Don't fight in the north; or the south. Fight every battle everywhere. Always...in your mind."
This draws from last year's storyline where Baelish was seen manipulating Sansa to call out to be the Queen of the North, while Jon Snow was christened as the King in the North. Will Sansa fall for Littlefinger's plots and advices?
Jon Snow is preparing for a battle in the snowy North while Westerns, and seems to be gearing up for the greatest of all battles. He is heard addressing someone (is it the Lannisters? or the Greyjoys? That is yet to be seen), "For centuries, our families fought together against their common enemy. Despite their difference. Together." The shots during these lines are so masterfully placed that it only adds to the speculation.
Cersei, who in the last season took over the Iron Throne as the Queen of the seven realms after the demise of her son King Tommen, is preparing for the battles as well.
Daenerys Targaryen has also set her foot on the land of her fathers; she is seen walking through the palace at Dragonstone, the ancestral seat of House Targaryen which remained the palace of Stannis Baratheon during the reign of Baratheons. Her dragons are seen hovering around the island of Dragonstone (they have numerous appearances in this trailer. No doubt, we will have a lot of fire-breathing scenes).
At the same time, the white-walkers have grown stronger and are approaching the south. The line "The enemy is real" has been doing rounds for the past few seasons, but this time it will materialise into a legit fact.
The whole trailer seems to point out that all the houses - Stark, Lannister, Targaryen and Greyjoys - are sharpening their swords for the impending war in the 'game of thrones'.
There's a brief appearance of Beric Dondarrion who has resurrected many times throughout the TV series' run in all these seasons. The dothrakis are also fiercely fighting the war with dragons on their side. This trailer keeps the viewer at the edge of their seat, from the word go.
At the end, we hear Sansa's voice,"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives."
