Sam Bahadur Release date: 26 January 2024 Where to watch: ZEE5 Sam Bahadur, a biographical war drama film based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, will be released on ZEE5 this week on Republic Day. The film, which shows Vicky stepping into the shoes of Manekshaw, will explore his career from his early days as a cadet in 1934 to his crucial role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The film also explores the way to the late Army veteran’s personal life, highlighting his marriage and encounters with significant political figures. 2. Animal   Release date: 26 January 2024 Where to watch: Netflix One of the most talked-about films last year, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, is also expected to be released this week on OTT giant Netflix. Featuring actor Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, Animal is expected to mark its OTT debut on 26 January, thus clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. As per the fresh media reports, the film, which has already created a lot of controversy following its theatrical release, will have an extended, uncut version on the streaming platform. 3. Griselda Release date: 24 January 2024 Where to watch: Netflix The Sofia Vergara starrer Griselda will be released this week on Netflix. The miniseries shows Sofia playing the role of the notorious Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco, also known as “The Godmother” of cocaine during the 1980s. Directed by Andres Baiz, the mind behind Narcos, the drama will explore Blanco’s rise in the male-dominated underworld of Miami, showing Sofia fierce as the ‘queenpin’ as she undergoes a massive transformation. 4. Karmma Calling Release date: 26 January 2024 Where to watch: Disney Plus Hotstar Raveena Tandon’s much-awaited OTT show Karmma Calling will finally be released this week on Disney Plus Hotstar. Based on the ABC series ‘Revenge’, the Hindi drama revolves around a young woman who sets out to avenge all the wrong deeds done to her late father. This is when Raveena Tandon, aka Indrani Kothari, comes into play, as she remains at the top of the list. Raveena will seemingly play a negative role in the show. 4. Badland Hunters Release date: 26 January 2024 Where to watch: Netflix For all the Korean movie fans, Netflix is bringing yet another film from Korea titled Badland Hunters. Set in post-apocalyptic Seoul, the film shows how the city transforms into a wasteland after a devastating earthquake, where a relentless hunter named Nam-san navigates a lawless civilisation. Throughout the film, survival remains a constant struggle between the natural threats and human adversaries in the dystopian world. Notably, the film is said to be a sequel to 2023’s Concrete Utopia.
