From NH7 to Nariyal Paani, Jaipur LitFest: Culture buffs, these are the events to attend

If you didn’t make it to the Coldplay concert where Chris Martin jammed with AR Rahman, even as Jay-Z wowed the crowd (we’ll call the event by its proper name — the Global Citizen Festival India), the months of December and January have plenty on offer for the culture/live events junkie. From music to literature, poetry and art, there are a whole host of festivals — in a whole lot of locations — to look forward to (and attend). Here’s a quick lowdown:

Enchanted Valley Carnival Where: Amby Valley City, Lonavala When: 17-18 December 2016 Flo Rida, Farhan Akhtar and Papon are just some of the biggies all set to perform at the Enchanted Valley Carnival which is going to take place over 17 and 18 December 2016. The two-day musical extravaganza takes place in Amby Valley City, Lonavala. The music festival is held on an air-strip and will also have a camping spot and a flea market to go along with the weekend performances. Nariyal Paani Where: Alibaug When: 21-22 January 2017 The two-day festival is held in Alibaug is set in a secluded spot and is noted for its bohemian, free spirited vibe. Organised by Goat Music, a London-based music and events agency founded by Dave Gaydon and Lou Birkett, the multi-genre festival will take place on the beaches of Ashvem and Morjim.

Leading the first announcement of acts is Gilles Peterson, a music connoisseur who has championed a global music perspective through his radio shows and label.
