We're a nation of reality TV watchers. From Roadies, to Splitsvilla, to X Factor to Dance Plus, we have it all, in all formats and themes, and the sole reason behind it is drama. And when you have tears, blooming love and raging animosity blended together into an hour long TV show, where people fight over a hairbrush or who's cooking the morning eggs, you get Bigg Boss.

We've all at some point wondered why Bigg Boss works so well with its audiences.

But it may not be completely incorrect to say that Colors' trump show Bigg Boss is India's biggest, and most involving reality TV show. To put 10 + contestants in a confined home for close to 100 weeks and keep adding injections of pre-decided drama is perhaps the definition of reality television, and the biggest conformation of drama.

And so, as the ninth season of Bigg Boss is lurking around the corner, we're being bombarded with many many rumours about who this year's contestants will be. Amid strong buzz that this year Radhe Maa and Gurmeet Ram Rahim Ji Insan or MSG may be seen in the house, Rahul Yadav is also being touted at a possible contestant. Yadav took to Facebook to speak about the rumours as well, "And the Big Boss talks are getting serious. WTF! Any advice? [I really don't know what this Big Boss really is. Not watched TV from (sic) 13 yrs]"

Since we can't confirm any rumours, here's our wishlist for Bigg Boss - a list of celebs who we think will make for a cracker of a show if locked up in a house together.

Rishi Kapoor

His twitter bio reads, 'Son of a famous Father-Father of a famous Son' but over the course of a year since Rishi Kapoor has been on Twitter, he has put up a series of really funny, sarcastic tweets on current and national affairs. He's called Radhe Maa a dhongi baba (and Bappi Lahiri without glasses), Arnab Goswami his relentless gym partner, and doesn't think twice before making a jibe at Huma Qureshi's weight. Surely Bigg Boss could use his brash humour -- it would make prime-time television that much more entertaining.

AIB

Speaking of prime time entertainment, who better than All India Bakchod, with their internet humour that resonates with close to a million subscribers on Youtube? To have all four members, Tanmay Bhat, Gursimran Khamba, Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya, enter and live in Bigg Boss house would almost be a dream come true. Pitt them against Rishi Kapoor and that would be the real deal. Who'd be louder? Who'd be funnier? As we type this, you're probably imagining the various episodes and tasks that would play out with India's funniest comedy group living under one roof with cameras all around. 24/7 roast maybe?

Bhumi Pednekar

She could be the Bollywood heroine entry for the year. Actors like Minissha Lamba, Shamita Shetty and Tanisha Mukherji made an appearance in the house, and Pednekar's growing popularity (thanks to Dum Laga Ke Haisha) would make her a good choice. With a veteran actor, comedians and a Bollywood heroine in Bigg Boss, they could make their own movie within the house. An ulterior motive would also be to see what her daily fitness regimen is. Pretty sure the whole country wants tips on how to shed 20 plus kilos.

Mira Rajput

We're just going to say it: Mira Rajput is 21 years old! And all we know about her is that she's Shahid Kapoor's wife. So before she becomes Mira Kapoor, Bigg Boss could be her platform to showcase her personality. She was anyway supposed to make an appearance with husband Shahid Kapoor on the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Mira Rajput is also used to constant vigilance what with the 24/7 coverage of her wedding. The house will be no different, but for the viewers, who'll finally get to see hear what her voice sounds like.

Sunil Grover

Let us rephrase -- we mean Gutthi. A man who plays a woman, who looks like a man. Cue the tacky jokes. (Before we get to it, AIB would have probably written a set on Gutthi already). It would be fascinating to see both sides of Grover's personality. Imagine, you would never know what to expect: The actor who plays a funny character, and Gutthi, the character itself.

These are just 5 suggestions, but it's already forming a riot in our head, imaging all of these people in the house together. What are your suggestions? Tell us in the comments below.
