Friendship Day: Here are some new-age Bollywood tracks to celebrate the bond
It is that time of the year again when consumer products exploit our sentiments towards a bond that we call friendship. Yes it is Friendship Day. And while we are busy flipping through the many Friendship Day ads let's also turn our attention to the recent tracks in Bollywood that have given this bond meaning on-screen.
Jaane Nahi Denge Tujhe
A complete tear-jerker, this song from 3 Idiots exhibited the strong bond between Rancho, Farhan and Raju. Swanand Kirkire's words "Sunn le yaaron ki yeh baatein, Beetengi sab ghum ki raatein, Yaaron se rootha hai saale kyoon" immortalised the fear of losing a friend.
Dil Chahta Hai
The title track of the 2001 film has all the ingredients of a true friendship. With all their mischief, fights and fun this song can be declared a friendship anthem!
