Focus on helping those in need: Sunny Leone's response to Atul Anjan's comments

Love her or hate her, you cannot ignore Sunny Leone. She is often targeted for her bold choice in films and overall image due her previous work in the porn industry. Image Credit: Twitter @SunnyLeone[/caption] After CPI leader Atul Anjan said that watching her condom ad will lead to an increase in rapes in India and former chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women Barkha Shukla Singh asking for the ad to be withdrawn , Leone who is currently holidaying in Africa, offered a response with a simple tweet. Among constant updates about her holiday, she remarked that people in power should focus on helping people in need instead of wasting their energy on her.

This isn’t the first time that Leone has used Twitter to take a stand. Last month, she had responded to the porn ban in India with a sly and quite clever tweet indicating her stance. An earlier _Firstpost_ article said, Sunny Leone is the favourite target of vapid moralisation due to her past history as a porn artist, as her tweet actually points that out. Well, hopefully our politicians will focus their energies on ensuring women’s safety in India and not make uncalled for statements on sexual assaults.
