First poster: Sonam and Ayushmann team up for YRF's 'Bewakoofiyaan'

Interesting pairings, when it comes to the lead cast, is the flavour of the season in Bollywood and Yash Raj Films seems to be leading this trend. First, it was Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput in Shudh Desi Romance, then Priyanka Chopra with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in Gunday. Now, for its  latest venture, Bewakoofiyaan, YRF has teamed up Sonam Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time.

The first poster of Bewakoofiyaan is out and it shows Sonam Kapoor smiling gleefully as Ayushmann Khurrana puts an engagement ring on her finger. However, Khurrana looks nervous and under pressure as Rishi Kapoor (who reportedly plays Sonam’s father in the film) glares at him from a corner.

The film  is a love story set in the time of recession and Kapoor and Khurrana’s characters are said to be passionately in love with one another. Yet another rom-com with YRF at its helm, the film’s trailer is expected to be out on 10 February, 2014.

Directed by Nupur Asthana, who also directed Mujhse Fraandship Karoge, Bewakoofiyan is being produced by Aditya Chopra and is expected to hit the screens on 14 March, 2014. Bewakoofiyan has been written by Habib Faisal of Ishaqzaade fame.
