Therefore, he will only publicise the film on selected platforms. The film is based on the story of a local boy (played by Sharma) who falls in love with an NRI girl. Having acted in the 2015 comedy Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Firangi will be Sharma’s second outing as a leading actor. The director describes the film as “light-hearted look at the pre-Freedom era.” Releasing on 24 November after all the big Diwali releases — Golmaal Again, Secret Superstar and Mersal, Firangi stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill in parallel roles.
