Fierce: Anushka Sharma's first look in 'Sultan' is even better than Salman Khan's!
Anushka Sharma's first look in Sultan is out and the actress looks fierce as a wrestler
All of Sultan's promotional material so far has centered on its superstar — Salman Khan. From the first look, which featured Sultan stepping into the wrestling ring, to the teaser-trailer, which depicted how "Haryana ki jaan, shaan" prepared for his wrestling bouts, we've seen a whole lot of Salman in the publicity material.
Now finally, we have a glimpse of what Sultan's leading lady will look like in the film. Anushka Sharma's "first look" in the movie has been unveiled, and it already has fans on social media in a tizzy.
"Here's presenting Aarfa," Anushka tweeted on Friday, along with an image of her character in Sultan.
The image depicts Anushka preparing to body slam her opponent (a male wrestler) onto the floor of the ring. She has a look of fierce concentration, while her outfit — shorts, t-shirt, knee guards et al show a careful eye for detail. Tic-tacs holding her hair back complete the look.
Anushka was roped in for Sultan after several other leading ladies did not work out, but right from the first look, the actress had proved that she is the right choice for the part.

Apart from Sultan, Anushka has been busy with her home production Phillauri. This will mark hr second film as a producer, after the critically acclaimed NH 10.
Sultan is expected to release on Eid this year. It isn't the only film to have wrestling as its theme — Aamir Khan's Dangal also depicts the life of Mangal Phogat, the wrestler.

The Bollywood dream sequence helped stretch my imagination in a way that I believed the whole world was within me. This self-sufficiency helped me get through the physical setting I was in, from awkward social gatherings to the confines of my home during the pandemic.
While Aamir Khan shot for Laal Singh Chaddha earlier this year in Ladakh, Kareena Kapoor Khan returns to the film's set after 10 months.
