Ferena Wazeir to work with Q, director of Gandu

Every year, the Cannes Film Festival causes a fashion frenzy that is incomparable to the films being screened at the coveted event. This year, Ferena Wazeir, a UK-based actress of Kashmiri and Scottish lineage, attended the big, networking playground of Cannes with some friends from the London film fraternity, mainly Cary Sawhney, the Creative and Executive Director of the London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) of which she is also the brand ambassador. Despite generating a lot of interest at international film festivals, Gandu was not officially released in India due to its explicit sexual content. Ferena is all set to play a martial arts character in his next film, Superboudi. “I was approached by a couple of filmmakers in Cannes for some very interesting projects but Superboudi was particularly interesting. Q is a very interesting filmmaker. I have agreed to do the film and am very excited to shoot in India for the project,” said Ferena from London. Ferena has worked in Ketan Mehta’s highly acclaimed film, Rang Rasiya alongside Randeep Hooda and in the late Raj Kanwar’s Sadiyaan with Luv Shatrughan Sinha earlier on.
