Fast & Furious 8 trailer: Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson take high-speed car chases to Iceland

Now, we have already been bowled over by the teasers of Vin Diesel’s xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and Dwayne Johnson’s Baywatch. Combine the action-packed sequences and the oomph factor of both and you get the teaser of Fast & Furious 8. [caption id=“attachment_3149702” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![Dwayne Johnson in a still from the Fast & Furious 8 teaser. YouTube[/caption] Furious 8 or Fast 8 is the eighth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise which is all about fast cars, tough men and hot women (make that hot men, and tough women). The eighth part is called The Fate of the Furious. The highlight of the new trailer is the new landscape that Dominic Torreto and his men are all set to leave their skid marks on. Imagine a raging sports car helmed by skilled riders, only to be complemented by the smooth icy terrain of Iceland. Yes, this part of the franchise balances the sizzling hot quotient with equal proportions of snow-clad hills and a huge expanse of ice sheets. The short-lived teaser makes you look forward to the full theatrical trailer that is scheduled to be unveiled on 12 December. Fast & Fuious 8 is directed by F Gary Gray who is a new addition to the franchise. The previous installment was directed by the Malaysian-born Australian filmmaker James Wan. What will remain missing from this installment is the presence of Paul Walker who died in a car crash three years ago. In fact, one major reason why the prequel, Fast & Furious 7, garnered rave reviews was for the tribute it paid to Walker in their end credits song sequence, ‘It’s Been A Long Day’ by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. The Fate of the Furious stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson among others. The action-packed ensemble is slated to release on 14 April 2017.
