Edited excerpts from the interview
What do you have to say about the evolution of The Happy Pawdcast?
We are going to dive deeper into the discussion about the pets, with medical experts and educational experts and even legal experts. We will have professionals who will talk about how to run shelters, how to identity the right shelters.
How different is a podcast from an interview for you as an actress?
I happen to be a host on the podcast so I am listening. And when I am giving an interview, I am the guest and I’m talking. Podcasts are always deep, dive as compared to an interview.
What makes The Happy Pawdcast stand out from the other podcasts that we see?
I think this is the only podcast about pets that has a host and a cohost. This is the only podcast that has a pet’s voice. That’s what makes it different. This is a podcast that talks to experts and pet parents. It’s a very niche community one is talking to and discussing their needs. I felt nobody else was doing this. So I decided to get the answers.
How did the idea of the show come about?
I want information that I kept asking my vet. He was the one who suggested me to burst the myth that keeps floating around Social Media. The information available on the Internet can be false at times and very harmful for our pets. He suggested that somebody like me who happens to be a known face should take the responsibility to educate the people. That’s exactly how the idea of the podcast was born. The response that we got for season one was absolutely amazing. It egged us on coming out at season two faster. We took on the feedback and we are here with season two. This time around, I also have my friends coming in with their pets. So more the merrier.
