Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is all set to make his directorial debut with Netflix’s The Ba***ds Of Bollywood that streams on the OTT giant from tomorrow. In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Raghav Juyal, that stars as a central character in the series, spoke about his role, working with Aryan Khan, and much more.
Edited excerpts from the interview
How was your overall experience of working in the show and with Aryan Khan who makes his directorial debut?
I really enjoyed it. I felt really fresh. It was a collaborative effort, and there was a lot of young energy on the sets. It felt like we all were making a project in college. It felt something new. It was a big bang, that’s the feeling I got while working with Aryan. Shah Rukh Khan , Gauri Khan, everyone treated us with a lot of respect on the sets and at home. We have given it our all and I’m really excited for the 18th when the show comes out.
You and Lakshya are coming together after Kill which was a critically glorious film. How was it like reuniting?
It was very easy for the two of us to show this bond in the show because this is how we are. We crack a lot of jokes and understand each other’s humor. We take care of each other. The relationship that we have formed was very natural and organic. It really helped us in creating this camaraderie.
What are your expectations from the show?
I’m consciously choosing roles that move me from inside. Only then you will be able to move the audience. This is a series where we all have taken a brave risk, especially Aryan. He made the show exactly how he wanted to make it. I really enjoyed the fact that it was a very collaborative effort. He used to accept and give a lot of point of views. I’m really excited and The Ba***ds of Bollywood is close to my heart.
What next for you as an actor?
Right now, my nervousness and excitement are only for this show. I hope people like my work.
