After setting global streaming platforms on fire and redefining Middle Eastern hip-hop for a new generation, breakout rap phenomenon Flipperachi is all set to perform in Mumbai for the very first time on 13th March 2026.
The concert promises an immersive live experience, combining Flipperachi’s signature sound with high-octane visuals and crowd-driven moments that have become a hallmark of his shows worldwide. In a conversation with Firstpost, Flipperachi talks about how excited he is to come to India, but says he hasn’t had the good fortune to watch Dhurandhar **.**
Edited excerpts from the interview:
Did you watch Dhurandhar ?
No, I haven’t had the fortune yet but I look forward to it. It’s important for me to see how the song was placed in the film. It’s always different when you see the final cut versus just a clip.
How did your journey as a rapper start?
I started rapping at a young age in Bahrain. Back then, hip-hop in Arabic, especially Khaliji hip-hop, wasn’t really seen as a mainstream path. It was more passion than plan, honestly. Over the years, I can say that there were ups and downs. People criticised me and even I had my own doubts. But I stayed on my path and that’s sometimes all you can do. I never
imagined I would reach this level globally, but I always believed in what we were building.
Would you like to work in Bollywood?
Definitely. I think there’s a lot of potential in blending cultures and sounds. If the right opportunity comes, something that feels natural, I would love to be part of more projects. That being said, we have stuff moving in the background that I look forward to bringing to the fans when the time is right.
Who has been your inspiration?
Growing up, I was a big fan of Busta Rhymes and the Flipmode Squad, that’s actually where my name comes from. I was drawn to hip-hop because of how expressive it is. You can talk about anything, and that freedom inspired me.

View AllWho is your favourite Bollywood star and why?
There are a lot of legends. Ranveer Singh has incredible energy and commitment to his roles. I respect actors who fully step into their characters, one must have that kind of dedication in music as well or for that matter any kind of performance art.
What excites you the most about performing in India for the first time, and what kind of energy are you hoping the crowd brings?
I am excited to experience it in real life for sure. I have seen the videos, the reels, the crowds chanting my lyrics, but being there in person will be different. I am expecting a very high energy crowd.
