'Ek Thi Daayan' trailer out: Kalki's quite the witch

The first trailer of much awaited supernatural thriller Ek Thi Daayan will be released with Vishal Bhardwaj’s forthcoming movie Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola on 11 January.

Directed by debutant Kannan Iyer, Ek Thi Daayan, co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, features Emraan Hashmi, Kalki Koechlin, Huma Qureshi and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead roles and is set to release on 18 April.

The two-minute-long trailer is a montage of several dark scenes and ominous music with Emraan Hashmi describing a ‘daayan’ or a witch as a woman who possess ethereal beauty, has her feet turned backwards and has long never ending hands in a sombre voice

Konkana Sen Sharma is seen twisting her long braids and Kalki declaring in her spooky Shaitaan-esque voice ‘mein aa rahi hu’ (I am coming). The montage also shows Huma Qureshi looking disturbed and a creepy voodoo doll makes her appearance several times. What’s the film about? Your guess is as good as ours, because this trailer isn’t saying much about it yet.
