Ed Sheeran injures arm in bicycle accident, says it 'may affect' his Mumbai concert

Ever since Ed Sheeran’s Mumbai concert tickets sold out in 48 minutes flat, fans of the Grammy Award-winning musical sensation have been waiting for the 'Shape of You' star since July.

But an unexpected injury has cast a shadow on the gig slated for 19 November. The singer posted a photo, on his Instagram account, of his hand in a cast with a caption that said, “I [have] had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news."

The singer has already completed his tour of Europe, USA and Latin America and was set to start the next leg of his tour in Asia on 22 October from Taiwan. The news of his injury certainly puts his Mumbai concert in jeopardy, but fans should be patient as further medical examination might bring good news.

The singer has been known for a string of mishaps and injuries in the past, ranging from nearly melting off his foot on a hot spring to slicing open his hand with a beer bottle, and even getting his face sliced by a ceremonial sword in a pretend knighting incident with singer James Blunt.

Here’s wishing everyone’s favourite accident-prone celebrity a speedy recovery and good health.
