Don't mess with Richa Chadha: Actress shuts down trolls after comments on Pakistan

Richa Chadha was recently in Melbourne with Fawad Khan for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and during a press conference, Fawad was asked about Pakistan and how its culture is different from that in India.

In a video of the press conference, Chadha is seen jumping right in to respond to the question. She said:

"I would like to answer that. Sorry, I am cutting in. You know we were colonised by the British for a really long time. It's a part of the..I am sorry if I am offending anybody here, but if you look at worldwide history, every time the British left an empire, they divided it. Whether it was North Korea or South Korea, then there was Germany. It is a part of the strategy to keep political unrest to sort of maintain a global kind of, I am sorry but your question to me doesn't make sense because I will have far more in common with Fawad because I am from the North of India than I will have with somebody who is a Tam Brahm or maybe Malayali or from the North East. I think we should avoid stereotyping in questioning or creating some kind of contradiction here because the whole intent and especially art does not really have any borders."

Fawad later responded to the journalist's question with equal dignity (watch the video here) but people on Twitter took one part of her comment, on not having anything in common with South India, and decided to get offended about it.

Needless to say, she had a fitting response:

And it doesn't end here. She responded to every troll to tried to bring her down.

You go girl!
