However, with time, their love for each other started feeding away, leading to their marital life hitting rock bottom. It was the same time when the late actor’s affair with then-budding actress Tina Munim made headlines, prompting the duo to get separated in 1984. However, they never got officially divorced. Just like any other fan, she also went outside the actor’s home. In 1970 when Rajesh Khanna’s ‘Safar’ was released, Dimple used to study at the St Joseph Convent. She skipped her classes and went to watch the film and after watching it even went to the actor’s residence to meet him. However, his guards stopped her rightaway.  While Dimple tried to convince them, the guards told her that the actor was not at home, asking her to leave. It was right at that moment that a car went inside the Khanna’s house and Dimple spotted model actress Anju Mahendra stepping out. For the unversed, Rajesh Khanna reportedly dated Anju Mahendru and they were in a live-in relationship. Witnessing this, Dimple confronted the guards for lying and slammed them. However, she was threatened with calling the police, prompting her to leave from there disappointed.
