Dileep issued police notice for hiring a private security firm, gets questioned on weapon use
Malayalam actor Dileep has been served a notice by the police to submit details about a private security firm he had hired recently.
Malayalam actor Dileep has been served a notice by the police to submit details about a private security firm he had hired recently, as reported by Deccan Chronicle. The actor, who is out on bail since early October, in the case of abduction and assault of a Malyalam actress, is charged of hatching the conspiracy against the actresses and is facing stringent legal sentence under Section 120B & 367.
"The notice was served directing the actor to submit the details of the security staff. He is also asked to submit whether there are any weapons being used by the security team and their license details if any," said a senior police officer.
While the Goa based private security agency Thunder Force has been providing the actor ‘round the clock cover’ by atleast three personal security guards, it is unclear whether they are carrying arms. The agency’s website claims it has the requisite licenses for its personnel to carry personal side arms and other weapons, according to Manorama Online.
The Kottarakkara police had also taken two vehicles of his security team into custody for inspection and were later released. The police actions, along with the notice are being seen as efforts to ensure the actor out on bail does not misuse his position and influence or coerce witnesses.
The Special Investigation Team, investigating the high profile case, is set to submit their additional charge sheet in a week’s time. The embattled actor is rumoured to be made the first accused in the pending charge sheet. Currently, he is the eleventh accused including the main accused Pulsar Suni, and others like Martin, Vigeesh who were also arrested following the incident.
