Deepika Padukone’s ousting from Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan starrer Kalki 2898 AD sequel turned out to be a shocking news not only for her fans but also for the entertainment industry. Now, the actress has addressed her exit and confirmed ‘King’ with Shah Rukh Khan by a sharing a picture showing their hands clasped together.
Farah Khan recently told her cook Dilip how the actress doesn’t work for more than eight hours these days when he asked her if she would ever come on their show. And netizens speculated a fallout when Deepika and Farah unfollowed each other on social media.
Farah spoke to Pinkvilla about the viral news and clarified- “To begin with, we were not following each other earlier, too!! We had made a pact during the Happy New Year shoot that we wouldn’t communicate on Instagram, instead, direct message and call.”
The filmmaker added, “We don’t even wish birthday wishes on Insta because Deepika doesn;t like it. Also, my 8 hour comment wasn’t a dig it was to make Dilip say that he will now also work 8 hours when he actually works just for 2 hours!”

A source said, “Deepika Padukone’s demand for a pay hike — significantly higher than 25% — stemmed from her conviction that she is irreplaceable. The real turning point lay in how her management approached the negotiations.”
It added, “She was fully aware of the sequel and the strong, performance-driven role created for her. In fact, she had already filmed nearly 20 days of Part 2 while shooting Part 1.”
