'Dhurandhar' Box-Office: Ranveer Singh's spy drama blasts its way into day 2 with a solid Rs 33.10 crore, mints Rs 60 crore in two days

The genre-bending spy–gangster action entertainer Dhurandhar from Jio Studios × B62 Studios, directed by Aditya Dhar, is witnessing remarkable growth fuelled by tremendous positive word of mouth and unanimous thumbs up from the critics.
With audiences frenzy to watch this epic entertainer, the film’s unique and massy take on the gangster style spy-action genre has clearly captured the imagination of cine goers.

Day 1: ₹28.60 crore
Day2: ₹33.10 crore
Total: ₹61.70 crore NBOC (India)

The action-drama directed by  Aditya Dhar has become the leading man’s biggest opener of all time as it collected Rs 28 crore on day one. Given the mammoth budget of the spy drama, the film has to maintain momentum as days pass by.

The ending explained

When the credits roll on Dhurandhar, the audience realises that what seemed like a “mission complete” ending was only the beginning. The protagonist, Ranveer Singh’s character, initially introduced as “Hamza”, ends up revealing his true identity as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. This reveal in a flashback underscores that the entire gang-war arc in Karachi’s underworld was part of a larger covert operation named “Operation Dhurandhar.”

In the climax, Hamza completes the first phase of the plan with help from his allies, including SP Chaudhary Aslam and local politician Jameel Jamali. He successfully takes down the crime-lord Rehman Dakait. But the victory is bitter. The final chapter, ominously titled “Et Tu Brutus,” evokes betrayal. After killing Rehman, Hamza hallucinates seeing the dead gangster’s blood-soaked face in a hospital corridor, a haunting moment that reveals the psychological cost of his actions.

Part Two

It all culminates in part two that will release on EID 2026- March 19. It will clash at the box-office with ‘KGF’ star Yash’s ‘Toxic’ and Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4. It’s a dense and dark thriller peppered with pulsating action and political commentary.   The tempting ensemble has Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles.
