Dhurandhar continues its steady, confident march through Week 2, underlining the exceptional strength of its weekday performance. Delivering a solid ₹25.70 crore nett (India) on Wednesday, Day 13, the film maintained extraordinary momentum through the mid-week, a rare feat for a film already deep into its second week.
At one of the events of the film, the film’s star Rakesh Bedi greeted his on-screen daughter Sara Arjun with a hug and a kiss on her shoulder that led to social media debate. And in an interview with Hindustan Times, the veteran broke his silence on the same.
The actor was quoted saying, “She is less than half my age and plays my daughter. Whenever we met during the shoot, she would greet me with a hug, just as a daughter would with her father. We share a nice rapport and camaraderie, which is also reflected on screen.”
Bedi added, “It was no different that day, but people are not seeing the affection there. The affection of an elderly man towards a young girl. Dekhne wale ki aankh mein gadbad hai to kya kar sakte ho (What can you do when people perceive it wrongly)?”
In an EXCLUSIVE interview with Firstpost’s Lachmi Deb Roy, Rakesh Bedi talks on Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar, 8- hour shift and why it isn’t possible in the creative field and that he doesn’t know the story of Major Mohit Sharma.
“When I read the script, I found it very intense. So, I told Aditya ‘If you are taking me, let me sprinkle some humour here and there to make it little more interesting.’ Because the character is quite menacing. Initially, Aditya was very reluctant. But then we became a team and made it very interesting. I just hope what I am saying is also translated on the screen,” the veteran actor said.
