Dev Anand's nephew Ketan Anand reacts to reports of actor's bungalow being auctioned for Rs 400 crore

There have been reports that the late actor Dev Anand’s Juhu bungalow will be auctioned for Rs 400 crore. Reacting to the news, the actor’s nephew Ketan Anand, while speaking to ETimes, cleared the air on the same. He said, “No, it’s false news. I have checked with Devina and the family.” Statement by a source A source was quoted saying recently, “The deal is also done and paperwork is going on. It has been sold for approximately ₹350-400 crores as it’s a prime location with bungalows of prominent industrialists in the locality. The place will now be replaced by a 22-floor tower.” It added, “His son Suniel stays in (in the) US whereas daughter Devina lives in Ooty along with mother Kalpana Kartik. There is no one in Mumbai to take care of the property and hence they have taken the decision to sell off the bungalow. In fact, they had also sold some property in Panvel, Maharashtra for the same reason.” When Dev Anand apologized to Vivek Agnihotri The evergreen, ever-lasting enigma of  Dev Anand continues to live on. He may not be any longer with us but his style and charm always continue to inspire and intrigue cinema lovers across the globe. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, filmmaker  Vivek Agnihotri penned a note on the veteran, how he got a call from his office and an encounter that he never forgot. On his Twitter account, he wrote, “Sorry, I made you wait” said Dev Anand, after making me wait for 5 mnts. “It’s ok” I said.“No, it’s not. Never say OK when it’s not. You know Time is half of a film’s budget. Money is only second half” said Devsaab. My tribute to Devsaab on his b’day.”
