Deepika Padukone exits from Prabhas' 'Spirit': Is it because of huge demand? 'Animal' director Sandeep Reddy Vanga upset

Deepika Padukone was all set to reunite with Prabhas for ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next film Spirit. However, reports that have not been confirmed yet, suggest they may have to look for a replacement as she’s no longer a part of it.

A user on X commented stating why it happened. The comment read:

“Reasons for #SandeepReddyVanga Rejecting Deepika in #Spirit Film:

👉#DeepikaPadukone reportedly insisted on 8-hour shifts that barely allows for 6 hours of filming.

👉also demanded whooping 20 Crores for the project & also a share in profits, she allegedly refused to speak her Telugu lines.”

No confirmation about the same has been made yet. There’s a discussion as to who can be the new face opposite Prabhas and these names came in:

Pooja Hegde, Kajal Aggarwal, Shraddha Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Trisha Krishnan, Kareena Kapoor.

Recently, Vanga was trolled for his comment on how filmmaking is more difficult than cracking IAS.

In a recent interview, the filmmaker said, “If you go to Delhi, get enrolled in an institute and give 2-3 years of your life, you can crack IAS. But, I can give you in writing that there’s no course or teacher that can make you a filmmaker or writer.”

IAS officer Vikas Divyakirti had criticised Animal and said “A film like Animal takes our society back by 10 years. A film like this should not be made. You earned money.”

He added, “You showed that your hero behaves like an animal. There should be some social value, or are people working only for financial value?”

Vanga then said, “If somebody attacks you unnecessarily, you will get angry. He is an IAS officer who must have studied hard and reached where he is.”
