Deepika Padukone is all hearts as her 'little one' Anisha Padukone wins an award for social impact

Deepika Padukone’s sister, Anisha Padukone, the CEO of her NGO, The Live Love Laugh Foundation, recently bagged a prestigious award for her contribution to society and impact. Anisha’s achievement to clinch the SheSparks Award for social impact had her elder sister beaming with joy as she immediately took to Instagram stories to express her happiness.

As Anisha Padukone won the prestigious award, an announcement post was shared by the TLLL Foundation. The post read, “Congratulations to our CEO, Anisha Padukone for winning the SheSparks award for Social Impact! The SheSparks awards committee commended Anisha’s ‘commitment to uplifting persons with mental illness and fostering community empowerment.’ The awards ceremony followed a day-long program featuring changemakers from many walks of life. Deepika Padukone, who seemingly couldn’t contain her excitement, immediately shared the announcement post on her Instagram stories. She accompanied her story with a text that read, “My little one Anisha Padukone,” followed by a white heart emoji.

On the work front, Anisha Padukone is a former competitive golfer. She has been at the forefront of the Foundation’s rural initiatives and contributes to the cause of mental health. Recently, in an interview with the Indian Express, she highlighted her transition from golf to working as a volunteer for a cause. Anisha said, “I wanted to be able to contribute to the cause of mental health and also learn new skills along the way. Within the first few days of volunteering my time, I realised the magnitude of work that needed to be done and the potential that LiveLoveLaugh possessed to make an impact.”

On the other hand, Deepika Padukone is all set to appear in Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. The film is the third instalment of the Singham franchise, directed by Rohit Shetty. It is also the 5th film in the Rohit Shetty cop universe. Singham Again, apart from Deepika and Ajay, will also feature Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles. The film is slated to release on August 15, 2024.
