Diljit Dosanjh and Manushi Chhillar came together for a song called Kufar for the actor and singer’s album Aura. However, the song has landed in a controversy for a dance step that shows a lady lifting her legs and mouthing lyrics that go like- ““Jannat De Darwaze kudiye. [the doors to heaven]”, that has led to social media outrage.
Talking about the anger of social media users, the actress tweeted- "
Not mine #iykyk 🙃🫶
But can we please not disrespect the dancer who was simply doing her job."
What Diljit Dosanjh said
The actor wrote on his Instagram story- “Bro, I was just standing there I didn’t even know what was going on around me.”
Manushi Chhillar on working with Diljit
The actress wrote- “Sometimes the most spontaneous moments turn into the most memorable ones. I had just recovered from the flu, hadn’t been working out, and honestly didn’t feel ready in any way to be in front of the camera, especially in this avatar!"
She added, “But when @diljitdosanjh‘s song came along, everyone around me had so much confidence in me ❤️From learning the choreography in 6 hours to putting the costumes together in half a day, it was all such a whirlwind… and before I knew it, we were on set shooting!"
The tweet added, “It was exhausting, exciting, and completely worth it, a reminder that sometimes you just have to trust the process (and the people who believe in you) and take the leap.”
Diljit Dosanjh in trouble for touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet
Diljit Dosanjh, actor and singer who is now a global star, has landed in trouble for touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet on the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati. US-based Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun’s Sikh For Justice (SFJ) has now demanded a showdown of his show that’s happening in Australia on November 1.
Why the controversy with Diljit Dosanjh?
The statement by SFJ read that Dosanjh insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of “1984 Sikh Genocide” by touching the feet of Amitabh Bachchan.
