Rift in Beckham family: Victoria accused of ‘grinding' and 'nuzzling’ son Brooklyn during his wedding dance

Celebrity drama within the Beckham family has taken a new turn after Brooklyn Beckham made explosive claims about his mother Victoria Beckham’s behaviour at his wedding to Nicola Peltz in April 2022.

In a public statement outlining deep tensions with his parents, Brooklyn alleged that Victoria interrupted the couple’s planned first dance, leaving him “humiliated” in front of guests and contributing to ongoing estrangement.

What Brooklyn Beckham has alleged

According to Brooklyn’s account, the ceremony had a carefully planned first dance with his wife, but instead of the scheduled moment, another sequence unfolded when Marc Anthony, a longtime family friend, was invited on stage.

Brooklyn wrote, “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead. She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

He also said that because of the way that moment played out, he and Nicola later chose to renew their vows in August 2025 to create new memories they associate with joy rather than “anxiety and embarrassment.”

Some unofficial accounts quoted by tabloid sources suggest that Victoria’s dance with her son was a “constant topic of conversation” among guests the following morning, with insiders describing it as inappropriate, while others dismissed it as harmless and a result of her being tipsy at the time.

A few sources have told Page Six that Victoria “wrapped her arms around Brooklyn” and “nuzzled into his neck” during the dance, taking the moment that was meant to belong to Brooklyn and Nicola. She was even accused of “grinding” her son during the dance.

However, Vogue and some eyewitness accounts from the night paint a different picture, suggesting that Brooklyn and Victoria danced together later in the evening in a family setting, and that the couple’s first dance was to a rendition of Can’t Help Falling in Love.
