A Mumbai court will hear the sex determination case against actor Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri on Thursday. A social activist Varsha Deshpande had filed a petition against the actor for allegedly conducting pre-conception and pre-natal diagnostic test to ascertain the sex of their surrogate child AbRam. Reuters[/caption] A metropolitan magistrate held on August 8 issued notices to the actor, his wife and other respondents and posted the matter for hearing on September 12. However, aggrieved by this, Deshpande had approached the High Court seeking early hearing and disposal of the case. The High Court had in turn asked Deshpande that on what basis had she drawn up those charges against the couple. According to

, a report claimed that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had sent a team to Khan’s bungalow to investigate and gather information regarding the alleged pre-natal sex determination but Khan had sent them back. However, Khan denied such report.
