A few days ago, a woman had filed an FIR
against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s bodyguard Shera for allegedly calling her and threatening her of gang rape should she not settle the Zubair Khan case. This came in the wake of the controversy surrounding the Bigg Boss 11 evicted contestant and the host Salman Khan, where the former had accused the latter of
insulting and threatening him
on the show. Now, according to
a report by The Hindu
, the complainant (the woman who had filed an FIR against Shera) has said that the police is not investigating promptly in this matter and has remained ’extremely passive.’ She also alleged that the police was deliberately delaying the probe. When I tried to bring this to Mr Jadhav’s (Senior Police Inspector Ramchandra Jadhav) attention, he told me to shut down the helpline. I am being harassed and abused daily and the police have been extremely passive.” The Hindu also reports that the complainant runs an NGO and that she was visited by Zubair in order to help him file complaints against Salman, the organising team and the channel. The same report states that the police denied her allegations and maintained that the investigation is under process.
