Comedian Sunil Pal has come back home after he went missing. In an interview with Zee News, Pal shared, “I am safe and back home. On December 2, I had a show to attend, and a booking was made under the guise of that event. However, when I arrived, it turned out to be a kidnapping.”

He added, “They blindfolded me and took me away. Initially, they treated me well, but later, they blind folded and took me along. During a one-and-a-half-hour journey, I was abducted and told, ‘We don’t want anything else from you, just give us money, and we’ll let you go.”

Sunil Pal further revealed, “Initially, they demanded Rs 20 lakh, and I realized they were dangerous and wouldn’t let me go easily. Later, they reduced the demand to Rs 10 lakh. During the negotiations, they took contact numbers of my friends under the pretext of account transfers. Eventually, Rs 7.50 lakh was transferred, and they released me around 6:30 PM.”

Pal added, “They had blindfolded me, and only removed it when necessary. Their faces were covered, so I couldn’t recognize or identify them. Everything happened within 24 hours, and I was under so much stress that I couldn’t think clearly. In the evening, they left me on the highway near Meerut.”

Pal’s whereabouts remained a mystery for several hours and his mobile phone was also switched off, making it difficult for police to trace him, an official said.

His worried wife approached the Santacruz police station on Tuesday evening seeking assistance to trace him as she feared her husband may have been kidnapped, he said.
