Coldplay frontman Chris Martin parties with Shah Rukh Khan, jams with Shraddha Kapoor

Coldplay is scheduled to perform at the inaugural Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai. The who’s who of the Hindi film industry gather to meet Chris Martin.

A couple of days before he delivers his maiden live performance in India, British band Coldplay frontman Chris Martin partied with the who’s who of the Hindi film industry.

The grand party was hosted by the Taj Mahal Hotel near Gateway of India, Mumbai. According to a report by Hindustan Times , actors Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Kapoor, AR Rahman and designer Manish Malhotra attended the party.

Martin even struck a pose with a group of industry kids including Sridevi’s daughters Jhanvi and Khushi Kapoor and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah.

Interior designer and former wife of actor Hrithik Roshan, Sussane Khan also had her own little fan girl moment as she got herself clicked with Martin.

Actor Vivek Oberoi echoed the same excitement as he shared the frame with Martin, along with wife Priyanka.

Martin hobnobbed with the top music celebrities of the industry as he jammed with music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and singer-cum-actor Farhan Akhtar. Their Rock On 2 co-star Shraddha Kapoor also joined the celebration as she jammed with Martin who played the piano.

Earlier in the day, columnist Suhel Seth had a tête-à-tête with Martin outside the hotel, with the Gateway of India looming large in the backdrop.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan also greeted and welcomed Martin to Mumbai with a firm handshake.

Martin and Coldplay is scheduled to perform at the inaugural Global Citizen Festival India on 19 November in Mumbai. The event is focused on creating an impact in areas of education, health, sanitation and clean water.

As per a report by The Indian Express , other celebrities scheduled to lend star power to the festival include another British band The Vamps, American rapper Jay Z, actors Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh, Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Rahman, Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy, singers Arjit Singh and Monali Thakur and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar.
