CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2023: Shah Rukh Khan honours the Uttarkashi tunnel rescue operation heroes, clicks selfies

Back in November 2023, 41 workers got trapped inside a partially-constructed tunnel at Silkyara in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi district after parts of the structure collapsed following a landslide. The heroes of the rescue operation were honoured by actor Shah Rukh Khan at the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2023. The actor greeted and awarded them on the stage and even clicked selfies with them; watch video:

And despite having received a mixed response from the audience, _Dunki_ recently crossed Rs 400 crore at the worldwide box office, joining the list of blockbusters from 2023. As  _Dunki_ continues to enjoy a good run at the box office, the entire team recently got into a celebratory mood, coming together for the film’s success with an intimate bash.
