Image via Twitter[/caption] The trailer shows Rapace as a highly-competent security expert Sam, who is charged with the responsibility of protecting a spoilt heiress Zoe (Sophie Nélisse) from a mysterious group of trained kidnappers. As the narrative progresses, the lone bodyguard unravels a sinister plot. Vicky Jewson, best known for Born of War, has written and directed the action-flick. The film is loosely based on bodyguard Jacquie Davis, the female bodyguard whose clients include J.K. Rowling, Nicole Kidman and members of the British royal family. Entertainment Weekly informed that Rapace met with Davis, who served as a consultant on Close, and trained in a centre specifically estavlished for training close protection officers. An exclusive poster for the film was also released on Entertainment Weekly, where Rapace’s Sam is described as “trained to protect, born to survive.”
Close premieres on Netflix on 18 January, 2019. Watch the trailer here:
