Choreographer Nandika Dwivedi denies being involved in Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal's wedding fiasco: 'The assumptions that I played a role in disrupting...'

The wedding of star Indian women’s cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been postponed indefinitely after her father Shrinivas fell ill in the lead-up to the ceremony, which was scheduled to take place in Sangli, Maharashtra earlier this month.

Choreographer Mary D’Costa on alleged involvement

Muchhal’s chats were leaked online and their authenticity is yet to be verified. There have been allegations of cheating and choreographer Mary D’Costa’s name has cropped. D’Costa has shared a note to clarify her stance.

And now, another choreographer has denied her involvement in the fiasco that has surfaced on social media. Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz were two names that cropped up. And the former penned a note on Instagram-

“Over the past few days, I’ve seen speculation about my involvement in a situation that has been deeply personal for other people. I want to address and clarify that the assumptions being made about me, particularly the idea that I played a role in disrupting anyone’s relationship, are simply NOT true.”

She added, “It’s extremely painful to watch a narrative form around something I had no part in, and even more difficult to see how quickly these stories grow without any basis in reality.”

The choreographer further wrote- “Please understand, this will not be easy for me to come out of, I cannot be falsely accused anymore. Please. I have been watching those I care about feel stressed and hurt by information that is not true, and it is taking a toll on my mental health.”

“I had been receiving threats which family members could see, and that’s why I had made my account private. Please, I request you all to stop the rumours… I have sacrificed a lot to come to Mumbai, to work and achieve my goals. Please do not take my name further than this; I have nothing to do with any of it. Eventually, the truth will find its way.”

Who is Palash Muchhal?

Palash Muchhal is an Indian music composer, songwriter, and filmmaker who rose to prominence in Bollywood at a young age. He is the younger brother of singer Palak Muchhal and is known for composing music for films like Dishkiyaoon and Bhoothnath Returns. Muchhal is also a filmmaker who has directed numerous music videos and is currently directing the film Raju Bajewala.
