The wedding of star Indian women’s cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal has been postponed indefinitely after her father Shrinivas fell ill in the lead-up to the ceremony, which was scheduled to take place in Sangli, Maharashtra on Sunday.
Mandhana is emotionally attached to her father, who has been a constant source of support in her cricketing journey.

Muchhal’s chats were leaked online and their authenticity is yet to be verified. There have been allegations of cheating and choreographer Mary D’Costa’s name has cropped. D’Costa has shared a note to clarify her stance.
“First, the exchange of chats happened between April 29th and May 30th 2025, so the contact lasted for only one month. I want to make it absolutely clear that I never met him and I never got involved with him in any way. People have been asking, “Why speak about this now?”
“The truth is, I actually exposed him back in July, but no one really knew who he was at that time, so it went unnoticed,” she wrote in a note shared on Instagram. “There’s also been a lot of confusion about who I am. I want to clarify, I am not the choreographer, and I am not the person he cheated with. I’m saying this because things are getting mixed up, and I don’t want people assuming the wrong things.”
Mandhana’s father hospitalised
Tuhin Mishra, the manager of Mandhana, said the World Cup-winning cricketer’s father suffered the health complication early on Sunday morning.

Palash Muchhal is an Indian music composer, songwriter, and filmmaker who rose to prominence in Bollywood at a young age.
