CBFC reportedly bans film titled X Zone due to graphic love making scenes, nudity

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), under the chairmanship of Prasoon Joshi, has banned a film titled X Zone. As per a report by The Asian Age , the film has graphic nudity, including a frontal shot of actress Hrishitaa Bhatt. [caption id=“attachment_2600634” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Prasoon Joshi. However, the CBFC has recently denied certification to the Punjabi film, Toofan Singh, on grounds of ’excessive violence’. Therefore, X Zone becomes the second film to have been denied a certificate. X Zone has been produced by Faisal Kapadi and received a thumbs down from the board for being explicit in nature. This confirms that Joshi’s entry into the body might have brought relief to quite a few; however, the original principles and guidelines are still very much in place. An unnamed CBFC representative told The Quint that “romp” will still not be passed under the garb of an ‘A certificate. After former chief Pahlaj Nihalani was ousted from the board, the film industry had exhibited immense faith and hope in Joshi. The current chief recently took some decisions which were reflective of a slightly relaxed, progressive decision making streak — passing Stephen King’s It with no cuts. However, things not might be as rosy as they look on the outside.
