Captain Marvel screenwriter Jac Schaeffer to pen, executive produce Disney's Vision and Scarlet Witch series

Captain Marvel and Black Widow writer Jac Schaeffer has been roped in by Disney for Vision and Scarlet Witch, according to  The Hollywood Reporter. Schaeffer will reportedly write the pilot episode of the show and will also executive produce the live-action MCU series. It will follow Paul Bettany‘s Vision and Elizabeth Olsen‘s Scarlet Witch. [caption id=“attachment_5872201” align=“alignnone” width=“825”] Vision (right) and Scarlet Witch. Image from Facebook[/caption] Both the characters were seen debuting in Joss Whedon‘s Avengers: Age of Ultron. The two were seen romantically involved with the other in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. The concept of Scarlet Witch series turning into a Vision and Scarlet Witch show was announced in September 2018. This was part of Disney’s aggressive promotional strategies to become one of the most hyped streaming service in the present market. Disney is also in works to develop a stand alone Loki series which will have the very popular Tom Hiddleston reprising the role of the Asgardian trickster god. The other series in the making is a Winter Soldier and Falcon two-hander which features Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. However a lot depends upon the fate of MCU characters after the completion of the final Avengers film Avengers: Endgame. Who all survive Thanos’ wrath and how will be a key factor.
