Elle Fanning was one of the forerunners for Day 1 at the 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival. She wore a lilac semi-sheer dress with ruffled detail as she strutted along The Promenade de la Croisette. At 21, she has joined Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu as a jury member. Amber Heard

Amber Heard arrived in Nice, France on Monday, 13 May in a classic white crop top, skinny jeans and a multi-coloured jacket. Hina Khan
Hina Khan, who will be making her debut at Cannes Internation Film Festival this year, will be walking the red carpet at the gala event. She will also speak at a panel discussion organised by the India Pavilion. Her short film, Lines, will premiere at the festival on 17 May.
