Calm down folks, that's not a Rajinikanth emoji! The truth behind new Whatsapp emoticon
Rajinikanth's comeback vehicle Kabali is all set to hit the theaters next week and everybody is extremely excited for his return to the silver screen.
Fans are going berserk over the film teaser which has garnered more than 24 million views. The Malaysian airlines AirAsia even paid a tribute to the superstar by announcing a special Kabali aircraft.
And top the Rajini mania, there's a new Whatsapp update featured a tiny figure in a black suit with glasses in its' sports emoji section.
Though the man in black bears a very stark resemblance to Rajini in Baashha (1995); is this mysterious levitating man a Rajinikanth Emoji that Whatsapp has created?
According to Emojipedia, the emoji called ‘Man in business suit' is inspired by a character called Walt Jabsco.
Walt Jabsco is the iconic mascot of British record label 2 Tone Records (or Two Tone Records) in which started in 1979.
Created by founder Jerry Dammer, the mascot was inspired by the cover of rock musician Peter Tosh's album The Wailing Wailers. The pork-pie hat wearing icon embodied the 'rude boy' Jamican street culture and music that 2 Tone Records was associated with. The largely popular icon has been featured on countless shirts, bags, shoes, etc and even has its own Converse shoes range.
But for Rajinikanth fans who are excitedly waiting for Kabali to release, the icon is a levitating Rajini indeed.
