However it appears that Fawad Khan left as early as July, much before all the trouble began!

A Hindustan Times report suggests that after wrapping his shoots in India Khan left to Lahore in July.

“The last Fawad came to India was in July. He finished his work here and went back in a few days,” said a source close to the film’s production house.

The source also said although Fawad was due to come back to India sometime in August, he cancelled because of some personal issues."

An India Today report further indicates that Khan left to spend some time with his wife who will be delivering their second child in September.

In light of the Uri attack that killed 18 soldiers last week, the MNS had issued a 48-hour deadline on Friday to Pakistani artistes to leave the country after which "they would be pushed out".

A report in The Indian Express had earlier mentioned that Khan has been in Pakistan for a while now and will not be returning to promote his upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
