Call Me By Your Name trailer: This coming-of-age film seems like a layered emotional drama

The trailer of Luca Guadagnino’s coming-of-age film Call Me By Your Name is out and it literally screams perfection. The trailer is crowded by reviews from international publications and adjectives are peppered all over the trailer, which takes away from the logical flow of the narrative. YouTube[/caption] The story, as much as this writer could deduce from the trailer, revolves around the relationship shared by a boy Elio Perlman (played by Timothee Chalamet) and an academician Oliver (Armie Hammer). Oliver halts at Elio’s parents’ house for an extended period of time. During that phase, both of them discover each other, and in turn, themselves. The rushes of the trailer show that there is a tinge of envy in their relationship which comes across as the most fascinating aspect of the narrative. Additionally, there are also moments that bridge the gap between both of them. To the director’s credit, he has not used sexual scenes to explain the bond between the two central character and has chosen to rely completely on the emotional wavelength they share. Call Me By Your Name also stars Michael Stuhlbarg, Amira Casar and Esther Garrel. It is based on a novel of the same name written by Andre Aciman. The film is slated to release on 24 November.
