Brazilian influencer Luana Andrade dies of cardiac arrest after liposuction surgery

In a shocking turn of events, popular Brazilian influencer and social media star Luana Andrade died due to certain complications following her liposuction surgery. The 29-year-old influencer had undergone liposuction surgery on her knee in a hospital in the Southern eastern city of Sao Paulo. According to a statement issued by the Sao Paulo Hospital, Andrade had the procedure done by a private doctor and anesthetist who were both hired by her family. However, it was during the procedure that she went into cardiac arrest leading to her death. Around two and a half hours into the surgery, her heart ceased to function. While the doctor suspended the fat removal procedure, they started making efforts to revive her, but all in vain. She was also transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU). Luana Andrade passed away due to massive thrombosis According to a Daily Mail report, the surgery was interrupted after the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis. She was transferred to the ICU where she was given medication and hemodynamic treatment. However, it was around 5:30 AM on Tuesday when she was pronounced dead. The hospital confirmed her death, citing pulmonary embolism as the cause of the death. While the names of the operating doctor as well as the anesthetist have not been revealed, they are yet to make any comment on the shocking development. Reacting to the news, Brazilian footballer Neymar took to Instagram and paid his tribute to the influencer. “Sad day with two very bad news. First, it was the attack that Bruna’s parents suffered, but thank God everyone is fine! Secondly, the death of a friend. My condolences to the whole family, may God receive Luana with open arms,” he wrote. On the other hand, the influencer’s boyfriend Joao Hadad also shared his grief on Instagram.

“I’m torn and living my worst nightmare A piece of me is gone. It is with great regret and a lot of pain in my heart that I say goodbye to my Luana, my princess, my beautiful…” a part of his Instagram post read.
