Boman Irani has turned producer for his forthcoming directorial. The actor also invited Oscar-winning writer of the 2014 film Birdman, Alexander Dinelaris, for the launch of his production house, supposed to take place on 24 January. [caption id=“attachment_5947641” align=“alignnone” width=“825”]

, Boman Irani said that he had not initially planned to produce the project he has written and directed. “Turning producer was not on my mind but once I finished the I wanted to do the best I could for it so decided to produce and direct it myself." To celebrate the launch, Irani organised for a day-long screenwriting workshop along with Dinelaris, which was attended a number of writers, directors and cinema students. Boman also added that his friend Dinelaris is familiar with his script and will read it properly soon. In a

to Indo-Asian News Service, Boman said that in an ever-evolving cinema industry, he wanted to ensure that the foundation on which the industry stands gets stronger each day. Boman, who made his debut in Bollywood in 2003 with Darna Mana Hai, is known for his comic roles in such films as Main Hoon Na, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Dostana, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Waqt: The Race Against Time, No Entry, Housefull, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Housefull 2 and Cocktail.
