Watch: Secret Superstar song 'Gudgudi' will keep you smiling all day

Aamir Khan Productions’ latest venture Secret Superstar, starring Dangal wonder kid Zaira Wasim, has been garnering a lot of attention for the film’s story and the music. The film, after all, revolves around an aspiring rockstar. The new addition to the film’s soundtrack is the song ‘Gudgudi’ which is a make-happy-be-happy number that keeps you smiling all day. ‘Gudgudi’, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and composed by Amit Trivedi, is a chirpy number that also shows the affectionate relationship between Wasim’s character and her mother (played by Meher Vij), who takes special efforts to make her daughter’s dream come true. Their camaraderie seems to have transcended from the usual mother-daughter space to that of two women, which makes it even more endearing. From exploring features in a new laptop, trying new image filters and experimenting them with other members of the family (not the father though!), feeling amazed by Google Maps, trying a new pasta recipe that they discovered online, watching horror films at night (that too Ramsay Bros) and looking at constellations in the night sky — the mother-daughter duo together try slices of life and cherish all those moments with a smile. Secret Superstar is a film which brings out the inner superstar of a teenage girl who is dreaming to become a singer and how she fulfils her dreams by keeping her identity hidden. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is slated to release on 19 October.
