Manish Harishankar’s upcoming comedy Laali Ki Shadi Mein Laddoo Deewana has found itself in trouble. Members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have expressed their objection to a crucial point in the storyline of the film.

In the film, a pregnant woman gets married to another man which has been found objectionable by members of VHP who have dubbed it as an attack on their religious sentiments. They are protesting outside the producers’ office in Andheri, Mumbai demanding that the makers delete that particular scene.

However, the makers remain adamant as they argue that they have obtained a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) who did not delete a single scene from the film. “We are not going to delete a single scene from our film. We have got a U/A certificate and not even one scene has been chopped from the film,” says TP Aggarwal, co-producer of the film along with Rahul Aggarwal who own the production house Star Entertainment Worldwide Production Pvt Ltd.

Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana stars Vivan Shah, the younger son of veteran Hindi actors Naseeruddin Shah and Rathna Pathak Shah, who is paired opposite Akshira Haasan, the younger daughter of veteran Tamil actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika. The film revolves around a royal wedding and renowned television actor Gurmeet Choudhary who will be seen as a prince in the film.
