Ajay Devgn and Tabu left the audience hanging on to the edge of their seats with their last collaboration, Nishikant Kamat’s 2014 thriller Drishyam. They will soon be seen tickling their fans’ funny bones in Rohit Shetty’s comedy ensemble Golmaal Again this Diwali. [caption id=“attachment_3757071” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

Mumbai Mirror
reports that Tabu has been signed for Ajay Devgn’s urban romantic comedy written
Luv Ranjan
and produced by Ranjan and his partner Ankur Garg. This film, directed by Akiv Ali, is the first time that they will be paired together romantically after Govind Nihalani’s action film Thakshak, which released eighteen years ago. In the same interview with Mirror, Tabu speaks at length about the professional and personal equation she shares with Devgn. “Ajay and I have known each other for 25 years. He was my cousin Sameer Arya’s neighbour and close buddy, a part of my growing up years and that has laid the foundation of our relationship. When I was young, Sameer and Ajay would spy on me, follow me around and threaten to beat up any boys who are caught talking to me. They were the big bullies and if I am single today, it is because of Ajay. I hope he repents and regrets what he did,” says Tabu. They collaborated for the first time in Farouq Siddique’s 1994 action film Vijaypath. Then they starred in Sandesh Kohli’s 1995 directorial Haqeeqat before reuniting yet again in Thakshak four years later. However, that was their last film in which they acted opposite each other. While they were seen locking horns with each other in Drishyam and will be seen as part of a stellar cast in Golmaal Again, Luv Ranjan’s film will bring back the two actors as a couple.
