Super 30: Anand Kumar meets Katrina Kaif but actress denies starring in his biopic
While Anand Kumar has confirmed that Hrithik Roshan will play the mathematician in his biopic Super 30, Katrina Kaif has denied reuniting with Roshan.
Mathematician Anand Kumar seems to be on a celebrity meeting spree. After meeting Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan, whom he had considered to play him in his biopic tentatively titled Super 30, he most recently met Katrina Kaif.
After he shared pictures of his meeting with Kaif, grapevine went abuzz with rumours that he might be considering Kaif for the role opposite his character in Super 30. Deccan Chronicle reported that Kaif might reunite with Hrithik in the film, whom Anand and director Vikas Bahl have zeroed in to play the mathematician.
However, Mumbai Mirror reports that Katrina's spokesperson has denied the news of Kaif being in the film and that the meeting was just a friendly gesture requested by the actress. Had Kaif been a part of Super 30, it would have been her third collaboration with Hrithik after Zoya Akhtar's 2011 slice-of-life entertainer Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Siddharth Anand's 2014 action romance Bang Bang, besides her special appearance in the song 'Chikni Chameli' in Karan Malhotra's 2012 revenge saga Agneepath.
Mid-Day reports that Kumar, who was torn between Akshay and Hrithik for his role in the biopic, opted for the latter. The same report quotes him as saying, "I understand that Hrithik cannot look like me, but that is not the point of the film. He wants to embrace the spirit of my story."
However, it was earlier reported that Hrithik had pushed Super 30 to start shooting for his father Rakesh Roshan's superhero film Krrish 4 first. The biopic will reportedly go on floors only next year.
