Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana trailer: Rajkummar Rao returns to the heartland in this wedding film
After impressing the audience with films like Ashwini Iyer Tiwari's romantic comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi and India's official entry to the 90th Academy Awards, Amit V Masurkar's black comedy Newton, Rajkummar Rao will be seen opposite Kriti Kharbanda in Ratnaa Sinha's wedding film Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana.
He plays a multi-dimensional character in the film - while in the first half, he is the typical innocent do-gooder, he turns into an avenger (wearing a fancy suit) in the second half. The contrasting shades in his character are not the only similarity to Bareilly Ki Barfi though. There is also a Kriti Kharbanda who is styled eerily similar to Kriti Sanon's character of Bitti from the film.
While veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar served as the narrator in Bareilly Ki Barfi, actor Boman Irani fills in his shoes in this film. Thus, it is quite probable that this film might turn out to be yet another product of the heartland, which seems to be the season's flavour.
Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana is produced by Vinod Bachchan and is slated to release on 10 November, along with U Milind Rau's horror film The House Next Door and Tanuja Chandra's romantic comedy Qarib Qarib Singlle.
