Salman Khan, Varun Dhawan could share screen space in Kick sequel after Judwaa 2
After giving a taste of their 'twin' chemistry in David Dhawan's recently released comedy Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan and Salman Khan will reportedly share much more screen time in Sajid Nadiadwala's action-romance Kick 2.
The Quint reports that Nadiadwala is planning to pull off a long awaited casting coup by signing not only Salman but also Varun for the sequel to his 2014 blockbuster Kick. The first film starred Salman and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles and marked Nadiadwala's directorial debut.
Nadiadwala also got Salman on board for a cameo in his latest production Judwaa 2, which was a reboot of David's 1997 film Judwaa that starred Salman in the lead role. As Varun stepped into the shoes of Salman in Judwaa 2, Salman made a guest appearance as a token of appreciation for Nadiadwala and the Dhawans.
It is no surprise that Nadiadwala would want to replicate the success of Judwaa 2 which is doing commendably well at the box office.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that after a leap in collection on Gandhi Jayanti, Judwaa 2 currently stands at Rs 77.25 crore. Varun's film gradually inches towards the Rs 100 crore mark, a feat that Nadiadwala achieved with Salman's Kick.
#Judwaa2 crosses ₹ 75 cr mark... Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr. Total: ₹ 77.25 cr. India biz. OUTSTANDING!
